Best Happy Hours in Key West

Best Happy Hours in Key West

November 30th, 2020 | Bars & Nightlife

Is it the weekend yet? Who cares! Key West’s truest obsession may be happy hour. It’s practically a requirement that bars and restaurants provide discounted drinks and eats every day. Happy hour is the perfect excuse to meet up with friends and kick back with a well-deserved drink. So get out there, make the most of it, and (for once) get to bed at a reasonable time with the best happy hours in Key West.

Although we strive to provide the most up-to-date information, due to COVID-19, bars and restaurants mentioned may close at any time, operate with a limited menu or reduced hours, or have takeout options only. We recommend checking individual websites for operating hours, updates, and social distancing measures before visiting.

Alonzo’s Oyster Bar

Dig into fresh seafood at the only restaurant in Key West to boast water on three sides. The casual haunt has a daily happy hour that runs from 4 - 6:30 p.m. and includes half-price well drinks, beer, and wine by the glass. Indulge on fresh, locally-caught seafood with discounted tapas-style plates like peel and eat shrimp, conch fritters, crispy onion rings, and mussels diablo. 700 Front St.

White Tarpon

Different space, same great deals. The White Tarpon reopened in the old Boathouse this year and features a daily happy hour from 4 - 6:30 p.m. with half-price beer, well drinks, house wines, and tasty small plates like tuna tartare, crawfish nachos, and yellowtail local ceviche. 700 Front St.

Half Shell Raw Bar

The only seafood restaurant in Key West with its own fish market, Half Shell Raw Bar provides a true sea-to-fork experience. Established in 1972, the eatery remains an iconic Key West destination, with a daily happy hour from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Enjoy half-price beer, well drinks, house wine, and killer deals on select small plates like raw oysters or clams on the half shell, calamari rings, and beer steamed shrimp. 231 Margaret St.

Schooner Wharf Bar

Voted ‘Best Bar’ by the People’s Choice Awards seven years in a row, Schooner Wharf Bar has been lauded by both the New York Times and Aqua magazine as a must-visit destination while in the Conch Republic. The open-air bar has three daily happy hours from 8 a.m. - noon, 5 - 7 p.m., and 2 - 4 a.m. which include discounts like $2 domestic draft or bottle beer, $3.25 import beer, $4 house wine, $6 premium wine, $3 well drinks and schnapps, and specialty cocktails like the Schooner Lemonade, Rum Runner, and Mango Daiquiri. 202 William St.

Pepe’s Cafe

Pepe’s has been around since 1909, making it the oldest eating house in the Florida Keys. Located in the old commercial waterfront area, Pepe’s serves up traditional American fare for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Their daily happy hour from 4 - 6 p.m. celebrates discounted margaritas, baked and raw oysters on the 1/2 shell, well liquors, domestic beer, and house wine. 806 Caroline St.

Bagatelle Key West

Situated in a historic building built in the 1800s, Bagatelle Key West offers two daily happy hours - a “breakfast hangover” from 9 - 11:30 a.m. with breakfast tapas and an afternoon 4 - 6 p.m. happy hour with $5 tasting plates and half off most cocktails. The spreads feature an array of innovative, shareable dishes like Wisconsin cheese curls, pan-charred Brussels sprouts, and lobster man n’ three cheese. Specialty discounted cocktails include Bagatelle’s Key West Rum Punch and Blueberry Basil Lemonade. 115 Duval St. #6505
