‘Easter on the Farm’ at Monroe County Sheriff’s Animal Farm

March 24, 1 - 3 p.m.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Animal Farm on Stock Island is a pretty spectacular place. What started in 1994 as a haven for homeless animals has gone on to become one of the most magical destinations in Key West. The farm is open to the public for two days a month (the second and fourth Sundays) which gives you an opportunity to meet their animal residents. You’ll find common farm animals like cows, chicken, pigs, goats, and rabbits alongside exotic species like a sloth, kinkajou, lemurs, alpacas, peacocks, tropical birds, and an albino python. Their next open house is free (donations appreciated) and includes an egg hunt, live local musicians, face painting, kids’ crafts, and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.

‘Easter Egg Roll’ at the Little White House

March 30, 9 - 11 a.m.

The Harry S. Truman Little White House presents their free 7th annual 'Easter Egg Roll' the day before Easter. The event consists of live music, arts and craft activities, pictures with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and of course, a traditional egg roll. The game is done in the spirit of the annual White House event in Washington, D.C., which was established in 1878 by President Rutherford B. Hayes, the objective being who can roll a hard-boiled egg across the lawn with a long-handled spoon the furthest before cracking.
