Easter Egg Roll at the Little White House

April 1, 9 - 11 a.m.

The Harry S. Truman Little White House is presenting their free 6th annual Easter Egg Roll the Saturday before Easter. The event consists of live music, arts and craft activities, pictures with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and of course, a traditional egg roll. The game is done in the spirit of the annual White House event in Washington, D.C., which was established in 1878 by President Rutherford B. Hayes.

Spring Migration Mania and Egg Hunt at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden

April 1, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Kick off Easter a week early at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden on Stock Island (just across the channel from The Gates Hotel!). Their annual Spring Migration Mania features environmental education booths, a kid’s interactive playground, multiple egg hunts with nearly 6,000 eggs, games, crafts, raffles, face painting, and more. Adults are free, kids are $5, max $10 per family.

You may also like the April 8th Easter Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt at the Sigsbee Community Center. The 10:30 a.m. egg hunt features the Easter Bunny, crafts, and giveaways.

Rooster Row Egg-Stravaganza

April 8, 4 - 6 p.m.

The Sunset Green at The Gates Hotel is hosting its own Easter bash Saturday afternoon. Bring your basket, gather your peeps, and search for eggs, bunnies, and roosters. Get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny, listen to live tunes, win prizes, and enjoy food and beverages. Entry and parking is free. Reserve your spot at the Rooster Row Egg-Stravaganza here.

Key West Artisan Market: Let's Get Hoppy Edition

April 9, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Be at the Key West Wildlife Center on Higgs Beach come Easter Sunday for the holiday edition of the Key West Artisan Market. Besides the usual vendors selling things like jewelry, artworks, cigars, soaps, fresh produce, and delicious eats, the market will also celebrate all things beer and Easter during this ‘Let’s Get Hoppy’ Sunday. Beer samples will be available, along with a full selection of brews, Bloody Mary’s, and mimosas at the bar. The family-friendly event also has live local music, free tours at the Key West Wildlife Center, and a free Easter egg hunt for kids 12 and under.

There are several brunch options on the island on Easter, giving you the opportunity to sample a little bit of everything. Here’s a few:

The Southernmost Beach Café will host their Three-course Easter Brunch designed by Executive Chef Alexander-Kruger Springer from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. with the option of unlimited mimosas and Bloody Mary’s.

Kids will love the Hard Rock Café’s Brunch with the Bunny. The popular chain will feature a variety of special menu options for adults and kids, and pictures with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

For something wildly different, attend the Drunken Drag Brunch at Mangoes for Drag Queen performances, a live DJ, bottomless mimosas, specialty shots and cocktails, and a delicious á la carte brunch menu. This particular brunch is 21+, 12 - 3 p.m.

Easter Sail in Key West

April 9, 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 a.m.

If the Easter Bunny or plastic eggs stuffed with sweet treats isn’t your thing, take to the seas aboard the Fury catamaran. Their Easter Ultimate Adventure H2.0 includes an hour of snorkeling along North America’s only living coral reef, a stop at Key West’s largest ocean water park playground with inflatables, jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boating, complimentary beer and wine, and a special holiday menu.

‘Easter on the Farm’ at Monroe County Sheriff’s Animal Farm

April 9, 1 - 3 p.m.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Animal Farm on Stock Island is a pretty spectacular place. What started in 1994 as a haven for homeless animals has gone on to become one of the most magical destinations in Key West. The farm is open for only two Sundays a month (one of which falls on Easter Sunday!) and gives you the opportunity to meet their animal residents. You’ll find common farm animals like cows, chicken, pigs, goats, and rabbits alongside exotic species like a sloth, kinkajou, lemurs, alpacas, peacocks, tropical birds, and an albino python.
