Our Favorite Dog-Friendly Restaurants
Key West has a reputation of being all-inclusive to people from all walks of life, and their pets are no exception – a famous photo of the “Iguana Man of Key West” by Florida photographer Niki Butcher says it all. The Gates Hotel welcomes pets – we’ve even written a guide on dog-friendly activities to enjoy during your stay.
Scoping out the best restaurants to dine with your dog on the island? There are options for every meal of the day. Here’s a look at some of the most favorable, dog-friendly restaurants on the island.
The “oldest joint” in Key West has long welcomed dogs to its outdoor patio. Pepe’s has been around since 1909 and is a favorite spot for breakfast. Head to the island staple near Mallory Square for hand-squeezed mimosas and the most important meal of the day. 806 Caroline St., Key West
This homey business tucked away in an Old Town neighborhood makes their own pasta and has a very comfortable courtyard that welcomes four-legged-friends. Dishes are fresh and colorful, and their pasta seafood plates always hit the mark. 900 Southard St., Key West
For a more upscale place to bring Fido, look no further than the patio at Nine One Five Bistro & Wine Bar. Browse an extensive wine menu that pairs well with European tapas or tasty pizza. 915 Duval St., Key West
Of course Island Dogs welcomes dogs! This “come as you are” gastropub offers a relaxing atmosphere with outdoor seating and thoughtful pub grub. 505 Front St., Key West
As a dog-friendly hotel, we also try to include pups in events at our onsite bar, Rum Row. We occasionally host “Yappy Hour” to help raise money for the Keys SPCA. It includes raffle prize giveaways and more. Check out our event calendar to see when the next Yappy Hour is planned.
