Two Friends Patio Restaurant

Two Friends’ award-winning Happy Hour features $11.75 steamed shrimp by the pound and great deals on appetizers like conch fritters, smoked fish dip, crab bisque, and fried calamari. Wash your Happy Hour feast down with $5.50 margaritas on the rocks and frozen rum runners. The historic haunt in Old Town is worth a visit for its cultural significance alone. Two Friends’ resume includes a number of “firsts”, like hiring the first female bartender in Key West in 1941 and being the first bar on the island to serve draft beer. Daily Happy Hour from 4 - 6 p.m. 512 Front St.

Alonzo’s Oyster Bar

Just around the bend from Half Shell, Alonzo’s “Largest Happy Hour Selection in Key West” features an extensive tapas-style selection of seafood-centric dishes at discounted prices. Raw offerings include raw oysters of the day and peel-and-eat shrimp, but don’t skip plates like shrimp flatbread pizza, fried fish bites, and bang bang shrimp tacos. The oyster bar’s seafood towers are also incredible, piled high with ingredients like Florida lobster, oysters, clams, shrimp, marinated calamari salad, ahi poke tuna, caviar, and ‘Asian’ Blue Point oysters with soy-ginger vinaigrette, wasabi, and pickled ginger. Thirsty Mermaid

Thirsty Mermaid is tucked away on a quiet side street near Duval, but the simple digs belie the fresh fare that keeps diners coming back for more. Their daily Happy Hour features $3 pints of their signature Mermaid Lager paired with $8 plates of ½ dozen Apalachicola oysters, ceviche du jour, and steamed PEI mussels with kaffir lime citrus, white wine, and lemongrass. Daily Happy Hour from 4 - 6 p.m. 521 Fleming St.

Pepe’s Café

Pepe’s juices are freshly squeezed, their oysters are shucked to order, and their hot sauces are made in-house. For Happy Hour, enjoy half-priced gulf oysters, fish dip, and Key West peel-and-eat shrimp, as well as a medley of baked oysters in Florentine, Mexican Roast, or Rudi Style varieties.
