Grammy-award winning singer, songwriter, actor and ’80s power pop sensation Rick Springfield is set to take the stage at the Sunset Green Event Lawn on Sept. 8 in Key West.

The iconic musician will perform songs from his album released earlier this year, The Snake King. The album is a blues recording – a deviation from Springfield’s past. Springfield shows off his rather impressive guitar skills and thoughtful lyrics in a homage to all things blues.

Doors open at 6:30 pm and showtime starts at 8 pm. The outdoor concert will be held at the Sunset Green Event Lawn at The Gates Hotel Key West; bring chairs and blankets to snag the best seat on the lawn for this general admission show. All ages are welcome; no coolers or outside food is permitted.

Springfield is a renaissance man of sorts – he’s seen success in acting, writing, and music. Rolling Stone magazine named his autobiography one of 25 Great Rock Memoirs of All Time; he has seen success in his roles on American Horror Story, True Detective, Supernatural and the 2015 film Ricki and the Flash, starring Meryl Streep.
